What is CBDX? Effects, reviews and how it differs from CBD

The Delta-P molecule

What is CBDX? It's the name of the molecule Golden High gives as the basis of its Delta-P range: a cannabinoid with a more noticeable effect than CBD, sold as flowers, resins and pods, in products that are below 0.3% THC and lab-tested. Let's be upfront: it's a trade name, and no scientific publication describes a molecule under that name. Here's what we claim, what is actually documented, what sets it apart from CBD, and how to approach it.

What is CBDX?

What is CBDX? The molecule behind Delta-P.

There are two names to tell apart. Delta-P is a trade name: it's the name of Golden High's range, like a brand. CBDX is the name we give to the active molecule in that range. So when you read “Delta-P 12%” on a flower, you're reading the range name followed by the strength shown on the product.

You'll also come across the abbreviation NL3: our reference page gives it as another name for the same molecule, and we've written an article about NL3. Delta-P itself is covered in detail in Delta-P: what it is, effects and legal status.

Full transparency

What we claim, what's documented.

You'll often read phrases like “cutting-edge formulation” about CBDX, or supposed “benefits” for sleep, stress or pain. None of those promises is backed by a source. Here's how things actually stand.

What Golden High claims

CBDX binds to the CB1 and CB2 receptors with a higher affinity than CBD, hence a clearer effect. Delta-P products contain less than 0.3% THC and are lab-tested batch by batch. That's what our Delta-P page states.

What hasn't been published

No scientific journal describes a molecule called CBDX: not its structure, not a measurement of its receptor affinity, not a human trial. The claim about CB1 and CB2 is therefore the brand's, not the result of a published study.

In the scientific literature, “CBD-X” refers to something else entirely: a CBD-rich cannabis extract, studied in the lab by a research team. Nothing establishes a link between that extract and our CBDX, and we don't claim one.

Why tell you this? Because in this market, molecule names multiply faster than studies do. You have a right to know what is verifiable data (a THC level, a batch analysis) and what is a seller's word, ours included.

What the sources say

Why the lab report matters more than the name.

With no studies on CBDX itself, what official sources document best is the state of the hemp products market. And it calls for caution. Everything is referenced at the bottom of the page.

ANSM and Anses (French health agencies) · June 2025

Several hundred poisonings recorded in France since early 2024 among people who had used products presented as CBD, most often because of undeclared THC or synthetic cannabinoids.

Study by France's CEIP network, backed by Mildeca · 2023

Eight out of ten CBD-based products had a CBD content different from the one on the label, the two agencies report. The CEIPs are France's drug-dependence monitoring centres; Mildeca is the French government's inter-ministerial mission against drugs and addictive behaviour.

Forensic Science International · 2026

Of 26 hemp products bought from Italian websites, 92.3% were mislabelled and several contained synthetic molecules.

ANSM · May 2024

In France, the ANSM (the French medicines agency) classifies H4-CBD, H2-CBD, THCP and other cannabinoids as controlled drugs, and says it is monitoring new molecules appearing on the market.

The conclusion applies to us as much as to any other shop: a name proves nothing. What counts is a measured THC level, a stated level of active ingredient, and an analysis carried out on the batch you're buying.

In practice, CBD suits you if you're after a hemp product with no high. CBDX is for adults who want a more noticeable effect and are willing to approach it methodically. We compare the two in detail in Delta-P or classic CBD: which to choose, and we answer the question many people ask in the CBD that “hits” hardest.

CBDX: effects and reviews

The effects of CBDX: experiences, not promises.

Let's be clear about what follows: these are subjective experiences, as we describe them on our Delta-P page. They aren't study results, and they vary from one person to the next.

  • Immediate effects when inhaled, which last less time than with other forms.
  • A clear high, where CBD produces none.
  • Physical relaxation along with a mild euphoria.
  • A duration of 1 to 4 hours depending on the format, the amount and your metabolism.

Three variables change everything: the product's strength, the amount used and how used you are to cannabinoids. A 40% resin is a different experience from a 12% flower. That's also why a “CBDX review” read online doesn't tell you much until you know which product, at what strength and in what amount.

  • We don't promise you better sleep, less stress or pain relief: those would be health claims, and nothing supports them.
  • Too strong an effect is possible, especially with a concentrated resin or a second go taken too soon after the first.
  • No product in the range is a medicine, and none replaces medical advice.

Strengths and formats

Which strength, which format?

You won't find CBDX oils or gummies at Golden High: the range is made up of flowers, resins, refillable pods and packs. The French health agencies also point out that foods containing CBD are not authorised for sale in the European Union.

To start, a moderate-strength flower such as Amnesia Delta-P 12 % is the simplest benchmark; the full choice is in the Delta-P flowers collection. On the resin side, Jaune Mousseux 30 % is a step up: best kept for those who already know how they react.

Precautions

Approaching CBDX methodically.

1

Start low

One or two puffs of a moderate-strength flower, or an amount the size of a grain of rice for a resin.

2

Wait before having more

At least 15 minutes when inhaling. Most bad experiences come from a second go taken too quickly.

3

Pick your moment

At home, with nothing you have to do afterwards and no journey to make. Never before driving or operating machinery.

Adults only. Delta-P products are intended for informed adults. They are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you're on medication, talk to your doctor first: the ANSM and Anses (the French health and safety agency) point out that CBD, for example, can reduce the effectiveness of some medicines or increase their side effects.

Drug testing: there is no public data on CBDX and saliva tests. Our products contain trace amounts of THC (below 0.3%): a positive test remains possible. If you've used, you don't drive.

If you feel unwell after using any product at all: in France, call 15 (SAMU); anywhere in Europe, call 112. You can also contact a poison control centre.

CBDX and regulation

The framework: what we can tell you.

A lot of searches are about the status of CBDX. We're not going to answer with a slogan. What we can state fits in one sentence: Golden High only sells products below 0.3% THC, lab-tested.

As for the rest, cannabinoid regulation moves fast: in France, HHC was classified as a controlled drug in June 2023, THCP and H4-CBD in June 2024. We follow every decision by the authorities and adjust the range accordingly. The details of our position are on our Delta-P page, which we keep up to date.

Your questions

What people ask us about CBDX.

What is CBDX?

It's the name Golden High gives to the active molecule in its Delta-P range. It's a trade name: no scientific publication describes a molecule under that name. The products that contain it are below 0.3% THC and lab-tested.

What are the effects of CBDX?

The experiences described are more pronounced than with CBD: immediate effects when inhaled, a high, relaxation, for 1 to 4 hours depending on the format. These are subjective experiences, not study results, and they vary with the strength and the person.

What's the difference between CBD and CBDX?

CBD is a natural hemp molecule, widely studied, with no high. CBDX is the molecule of the Delta-P range, with a more noticeable effect according to the brand, but no published study under that name.

Is CBDX legal in France?

We don't make a legal argument here. What we do state: all Golden High products are below 0.3% THC and lab-tested batch by batch. The details are on our Delta-P page, kept up to date as the authorities issue decisions.

Are CBDX and Delta-P the same thing?

Delta-P is the name of the range, CBDX the name of its active molecule. A “Delta-P 12% flower” is a flower from that range, with a stated strength of 12%.

Is CBDX the same as THCP or HHC?

No. THCP and HHC are classified as controlled drugs in France, and no Golden High product contains them.

How much are CBDX reviews worth?

A review describes one person's experience with a given product, strength and amount. To make use of it, always check which product it's about, then start low yourself.

Does CBDX show up on a saliva test?

There is no public data on this. Our products contain traces of THC, below 0.3%: a positive test remains possible. You never drive after using.
